My name is Klare Looney and I am the Founder/Owner of Lightway at The Ridge (The Ridge). I initially created Lightway at Sloans in 2007 after having my son and trying to find good care. In 2017, I expanded Lightway with the opening of the second location, The Ridge.

In late 2019, I sold Lightway at Sloans to an amazing couple, and parents of two young children, Todd and Michelle Belanger.

When initially visiting other daycare facilities, there was always something that each center was lacking regarding what I was wanting in a place for my child. I knew I could not leave my child at any place but the perfect place. After months of searching and not being satisfied, I decided to create something that had everything I (as a Mom) was looking for and more.

Being a working mother and knowing how difficult it can be, I wanted to ensure to create an inclusive Family for all children, parents, and teachers. I was concerned with my child being just another number in a large facility, and that is why I wanted to create a small loving center. I felt this would give the best opportunity to still have the benefits of interacting with other children, as well as being part of a close intimate family environment. The Ridge truly offers everything I wanted and more for my family and I hope it will offer that to you as well.

Hello! My name is Anay Jurado Carrasco and I have been working at the Ridge since 2018 as a lead toddler teacher and now Center Director. I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I enjoy taking walks, watching movies, and playing with my daughter. Being a part of a small center has allowed me to build meaningful relationships with the kids and their families. I knew at a young age I wanted to work with children. Seeing them develop great skills, play and learn what they can do bring me joy. I am happy to be apart of the Lightway family and look forward to working with your little ones!

Hi my name is Jessica and I have been working in childcare for going on 8 year now. I’m originally from Grant Junction, CO but have lived most of my late childhood and teens to adulthood in Thornton, Co. I moved to Ole Town Arvada just a couple of years ago and have enjoyed it very much. I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was 7 years old. I went to Northeastern Junior College for my Early Education degree. I love teaching young minds and watching them have that lightbulb moment when they figure something out. I can’t wait for this new journey at Lightway at the Ridge!

Hi I am Samuel Pol and I am so blessed to be a part of this new family! For the last two years I have been teaching preK and Pathways classes over at the Primrose of the Flatirons and the Primrose of Tallgrass. Previously though I was in the marine corps as a crash fire rescue specialist and I had also been head youth pastor for a few churches; Such as chaffee community Baptist church, Life Fellowship, and highland Baptist church. In my free time I love collecting comic books and doing anything related to sports whether it be watching or playing them! I can't wait to start this new adventure, and I am so blessed to share this opportunity with everyone that I will soon meet!

Hello! My name is Daisy Juarez. I have a son and daughter. I am very blessed to have them. I love to spend time with my family, hiking, music & traveling! I have been working at the Ridge since 2017. I have worked as a lead teacher for toddlers and worked as an infant teacher here at the Ridge before transitioning to floater! I am bilingual, my second language is Spanish. I love working with kids, they bring the best out of me! I am very grateful to be part of the Lightway family, I am looking forward to all the amazing families and working with your little ones!
